Original Broadway production of the NOEL COWARD play “PRIVATE LIVES” which played
New York’s Times Square Theatre. (The Original West End production
opened September 24th, 1930 at the Phoenix Theatre in London and ran for
101 performances. Following the London run, the stars of the show
crossed the Atlantic and opened January 27th, 1931 at the Times Square
Theatre for 256 performances.) ….. The play starred NOEL COWARD and
GERTRUDE LAWRENCE (who performed the song) and featured LAURENCE OLIVIER, JILL ESMOND and THERESE
